There’s been the Tangle Teezer for a couple of years, which combs the hair wonderfully, BUT I have to say it’s not my favorite brush. I would rather use a high quality wooden brush with a handle than a slippery Tangle Teezer. I think he is not easy to clean and also the bristles bend very quickly, which makes it sometimes on the hair instead of combing through the hair.
Nevertheless, that was a real asset to many girls. That would have been so for me, had I not accidentally discovered my absolute dream brush. And even long before there was the Tangle Teezer.
So the technology is not new.
Now I have to finally tell you which brush I’m talking about. It is a brush with wooden handle, which has longer and many short bristles. In the drugstores, they do not always seem to be in the assortment, but I’ve already spotted them on both Rossmann and DM.
I replace my brush once every few years when I feel like they are not getting clean anymore. Is that necessary? I honestly have no idea how often you should change your hairbrush. (For the photos, I’ve allowed myself a new copy again.)
The simple arrangement of the few long and many short bristles will solve all the knots without pain and hair loss. This brush would have really earned a big marketing campaign.
The brush costs (in drugstore format) not much. If I remember correctly, the price is between 5-8 €, so not more expensive than the Tangle Teezer and for real wood. This is a completely different hair feeling. One last point reminds me: It does not charge the hair as much static as it does (with me) the Tangle Teezer.
I am almost sorry that I compare the brush to the whole post about almost only with the Tangle Teezer, but on the one hand they say they invented this idea and on the other hand you probably know it and can therefore well imagine how the Brush works.
