Dutch glitter braids

Dutch glitter braids

I have a question. What makes everything better (besides chocolate, …)? Of course GLITZER! In this tutorial we have combined Dutch braids and glitter for a simple hairstyle.Dutch glitter braids

You can use this idea for so many occasions. In summer, add a boho dress and head out to your favorite festival. In the fall, add a poofy skirt and a unicorn horn and you have a magical costume!

Required items: Brush, rat tail comb, spray bottle, hair gums, hair spray {if desired}. Bowl, hair gel, glitter and paint / craft brush or hair dye brush (buy at a beauty supply store for about a dollar)

the request: 10-15 minutes

Qualification: medium

Step-by-step guide:

  1. First part of your hair. Katie started with a deep side part and went diagonally to the other side. But you can go down in the middle or even zig-zag!
  2. Make sure you have a stretch of elastic.
  3. Pick up a small strand of hair from the front of the section you are braiding first. Divide into three parts and start a Dutch braid.
  4. A Dutch braid is finished, like a French braid just instead of crossing strands across the middle strand, crossing you under the middle strand.
  5. After the first complete stitch you pick up a small section of the new hair and add the outer strands before we cross it, under the middle strand.
  6. Continue to braid until you see the bottom of your hair. Secure with a small rubber band.
  7. Repeat a Dutch braid on the opposite side of the head.
  8. Next, you need some hair gel and glitter. Mix together in a small bowl and brush on your hair if desired.
  9. Click on the video link above to see the ombre method Katie uses on Charley.
